Created for the COCKERS series, Resistance Culture is a group of young super powered rowdies who use thier abilities to rebel against thier oppressive government. Thier leader is Marbles, he's smarter than the average bear. The design process of character design is something that i will always love.

GIRLSTRIPSCOCKERS 2
Somewhere down this blog is the black n' white version of this drawing. This is the watercolor version. Every now and again I will dust off the old watercolor brushes and see what I can do with one of my drawings. It came out pretty well, the lights and darks look good and the colors are right on point.
At some point Im going to revisit both GirlStripsFinest as well as Cockers. I love both of these titles and look forward to working on them again...

MAL the MALLARD
At first Mal appeared in his very own comic strip WORKIN' DUCKS where he and his friend BOXIE the deer tried very hard to cross the road... the comic strip only lasted a couple of installments so they never made it. Some years later Mal resurfaced along side two other water fowls in BUSHIN DUCKS.
Currently, It is in the works for a big budget black an white DUCK! graphic novel. Having to publish it myself will determine how big budget it actually is I suppose. This story excites me because using old influences like Chuck Jones and Walter Lantz combined with my own lovable art style and my own colorful ability to bend a narrative will create a comic the likes of which are unparalleled..!!!
DUCK! ...SEASON
The great part about having a character that is a duck is putting my own twist on Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny. Mike McGuffin a drunken hunter, puts Mal through his paces in this illustration. A possible cover for an issue of DUCK!
THA 90's
Waaaaay back in the 1990's my understanding of the female figure was awesome!! Well, I liked it anyway... If you are alive there is always some studying or learning that can be done. Looking back at these now, the design and concepts for these characters are still dear to me. The marker work was fun too. Man, I remember those braids, lots of work there..
