the AFRICANAS
During my formative years the comics I read the most were marvel comics. My dad collected marvel comics and would give them to my brothers and I after he was done with em.
In highschool before I was introduced to japanese imports like Akira and Dragonball I was already indoctrinated with marvel stuffs, that being said, many of my original creations were marvelesque in design. The first Africana, created around 2005 was heavily influenced by Jack Kirbys Captain America. Complete with a black shield with an Africa logo in the middle. Some years later I would re-purpose the character for my new series ODDYSEUM... here for the first time the old and the new Africana !!!

DUCK!
This graphic novel is a story of humor, love, greed, martial arts and the realization that animals can talk and live adventurous lives that we know nothing about. Farmer Gunns (pictured right) owns a nature preserve where all kindsa shenanigans take place and center around Mal the mallard. Mal, a small mallard who risks life and limb to try to impress the big bully older brother of a female duck he wants to make his girlfriend.
the mighty DUCK!
In honor of the new THOR movie that premiered here is
Mal the mallard in the form of the Odinson. I like his
long green hair, he is sooooo dreamy. Eat it Chris

SKETCHES!!!
When coming up with characters for my new mythology title I scoured my mythology book collection.
Thats right I said books, I use them for reference and they are quite awesome !! These two goddesses are apart of the pantheon but, from different backgrounds. I normally draw full body sketches of the characters I may use in a scene so I will know exactly what they look like.

Lettering my comic by hand? What the?!!
During the formative years of my youth I liked drawing pretty early on. Everything I learned to do I learned to do by hand. For my current project I thought I would give self lettering a shot. The hardest part is having a steady hand when inking...
